What is ZapMeta?

ZapMeta is a meta-search engine, a search tool that provide users the ability of simultaneously search multiple search engines under one interface. Meta-search engines benefit users by saving them time and effort from having to individually visit multiple search engines in order to find the desired result. Along with web search, ZapMeta currently offer a directory based on data from The Open Directory Project and Product Search powered by Pricegrabber.

Why don´t I see banner or popup ads on ZapMeta?

We believe banner and pop-up ads are an annoyance to users and degrade the ZapMeta user experience. We strive to provide for our users highly relevant search results, not advertising.

Does ZapMeta support Boolean Commands?

Yes, ZapMeta supports not only basic Boolean expressions and operators, but also phrase, truncation, proximity, and advanced search fields.

How do I submit my site?

ZapMeta fetches results from other search engines and does not maintain a database of web pages. Thus,URL submissions are not accepted.

How do I bookmark ZapMeta?

If you are using Internet Explorer, click here to bookmark ZapMeta.

If you are using Netscape 6+, you can bookmark ZapMeta by clicking the bookmark icon in the Personal Toolbar or choosing the bookmark's name from the Bookmarks menu.

How do I make ZapMeta my homepage?

If you are using Internet Explorer, click here to make ZapMeta your default homepage.

If you are using Netscape 6+, please follow these steps:

1. Open Preferences from the Edit menu
2. Click on Navigator
3. Make sure Home page is selected below When Navigator starts up, display
4. Below Home Page, enter http://www.ZapMeta.com in the Location box.
5. Click the Ok button to save and exit the preferences
